The Caps played this Blues team twice in early January, and I remember thinking they had way too much talent to be sitting in last place in the league. Didn't make any sense to me. That's right about when they started to get their shit together. Beat Washington twice. What a turnaround. I'm guessing Berube loses the interim tag soon, lol.

 

And Mike Yeo never gets another job anywhere in hockey.

 

Seems to be a Cup winner thing. First I remember somebody yelling it was Ray Bourque when he got his hands on the Cup. Then the Penguins in 2009, pretty much the whole team did. It’s been pretty common since then I’d say.

Last year, NBC flashed a locker room photo of a chalkboard that said “No Practice Tomorrow”.

Anybody have an image or screenshot of that?

I love the Berube story (not sure how much I'm mis-remembering or has been exaggerated) about how when he was a player, he was in a fight with Jeremy Roenick and Roenick punched him after the referees had tied them up.

Berube was never able to get his revenge on Roenick, then a few years later, Roenick joined his team, and Berube punched him in the face in the locker room. Then they went and played golf together.
