    It's St. Louis.
The jinx is a foregone conclusion, no matter what sport.
It's just a shitty, cursed town.

It is? How many World Series have the Cardinals won?

Update, with another pretty monumental fuck-up by the Post-Dispatch. Makes me wonder, do they have a bunch of 8-year-olds manning the ship on weekends? Between this, the Blues' premature celebration and the "lynch" reference in the Cardinals game story from another thread, all of them were on weekends.

    That's fairly horrendous.

This what happens when you have a skeleton crew running a paper.

Yes, but that's an easy out, to absolve people of responsibility and put the blame back on the paper/chain.

I don't care how skeleton the crew is, or how inexperienced the people on duty are. How could anyone think that attaching a Facebook Live video of a police officer dying after being shot is even a smidge appropriate? That's a fireable, un-hireable for any other newspaper job of consequence, offense for me. It makes no difference how short-staffed the paper is.

I can't argue with that, but this also isn't out of the realm of possibility when editors demand that social posts be embedded into every story.

It ain’t the editors at Lee who are demanding that. Lee upper management is obsessed with that.

It sounds like a suit mandate. Gannett has certainly perfected it.

Amid the gutting of newspapers, does this surprise anyone?
