He's being admitted to Mass. General.

That’s concerning. At least he’ll be in one of the best hospitals out there.

Curious why it is concerning - not challenging, just asking. He was shot yesterday and had what sounds like significant surgery. Shouldn't he be hospitalized for a while?

True, but seemed like everyone was trying to downplay the severity initially. A guy like Papi could have a team of doctors take care of him at his palatial estate. That he was Medevaced out of there and is going to the hospital makes it seem to me like he’s not out of the woods.

Definitely went from “shot in the leg” to “parts of organs and severe liver damage” quickly.

Going to be a helluva story when all this gets sorted out. Unreal.

If this was all over fucking the wrong woman... who knew that it wouldn’t be Arod’s dick causing this many problems?

On the other side of the coin, there are parts of the Kansas City area worse than Venezuela.

It would not be out of the ordinary for there to be subsequent surgeries for a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Also, at MGH, care for possible infections and complications is gonna be as good as the world has.

I think it was mentioned on the NHL thread.......if the Bruins do a Papi tribute with that speech and someone comes out in a Bruins 34 Ortiz sweater, STL needs to just get on the plane and save themselves a 11-0 thrashing.

That's what everybody here thought would happen when Chara took the ice for the starting lineups in Game Five. Hyped up emotion is a sugar rush that often leads to a sugar crash.
