I was at the 2000 Open at Pebble. It is one of the few places on earth, like Paris or the Tetons where you can't quite believe you're really there even though you know you are. Walked the course, never played it thank God.

That's true. I will get some fresh pictures of No. 7 for you.

This will be my second Open. Covered '98 at Olympic and the debacle on 18.

Saw Rory put the USGA on notice that, basically, if they screw up Pebble, they've got some 'splaining to do.

Hoping for sunshine and light winds and no June gloom like 2010.

    The week is upon us.
I don't think Koepka gets 3 in a row here. T15 for Koepka.
    McIroy T5.
    Phil T5.
    DJ T10
    Rose T10.
    Day T10.

Because they can't "trick" up Pebble by making it 9000 yards.
Because he knows there are places on Pebble that you absolutely can't hit it in.
    He grew up on Poa.
    Yep.
    Tiger wins it.

I’ll keep getting burned on this, but I’ll take Rory. Again.

I think it’ll be another hang-around, late push for Woods and a a top 10.

I’d say Koepka can’t win three in a row, just because of odds. But the dude has ice water in his veins right now.

Xander Schauffele as my long(ish) shot.

Here's my hot take: Tiger misses the cut.

    Thurs-Fri tee times out.
Good on the USGA for having Sam Saunders (Arnold Palmer's Grandson) hitting the first tee shot at Pebble Beach.
    Tiger with Rose and Spieth.

Pebble is going demand accuracy off tee, if you can bomb it too a huge advantage, and if needed a great short game. Oh and putting too. Tiger won in 2000 when he had the most beautiful square swing that Scott stole (jk) and striped it down the fairway. He s the opposite now. Rory doesn’t putt enough for me. I’ll pick Ricky for his putting.
