2019 College Baseball Thread

That's borderline abuse.

 

LSU keeps tripping over its own dick on the basepaths. Had a runner picked off of third to kill one rally, and then another thrown out at second stupidly trying to stretch an infield single into a double. Both outs were the second of the inning, and Florida State got out of big time jams a couple pitches later both times.
Game is tied 4-4 in the eighth. It's not a stretch to think LSU would be up 7-4 or 8-4 if those outs aren't made.

 

The series is over. LSU wins tonight and by 10 tomorrow.
If you're the underdog, you've got to sweep. No matter how they get there, home teams win 69% of three-game Super Regionals.

 

Just checked in on the ninth inning of this wild Oklahoma State-Texas Tech game. Almost every one of these players looks like they will fucking crush some fools on slow-pitch softball teams about five years from now.

 

And I have a feeling the Texas Tech closer's favorite pitcher is David Wells. Looks just like him and wears No. 33.

 

I swear to God, I was thinking that exact same thing. I was waiting for them to show the back of his jersey because I thought maybe it was his son.

 

No names on the jerseys if I remember correctly.

 

Texas Tech had them, but I think Oklahoma State did not.

 

Duke in Game 1 against Vanderbilt: 18 runs, 15 hits.
Duke in Games 2 and 3: Two runs, five hits, 35 strikeouts.

 

Down goes LSU.

Absolutely boatraced at a road regional in 2018, swept at home in a super in 2019. Fans can't be happy.

 

More than a few on my Facebook feed are calling for Mainieri to be fired.
