Oklahoma State beat writer — Tulsa World

  1. The Tulsa World is seeking an experienced Sports Reporter to cover one of the state’s largest sports beats, the Oklahoma State University Cowboys.


    The ideal candidate will have previous experience covering Division 1 sports. This position requires the ability to track and report on all news concerning sporting events, athletes, and the OSU athletic department. A proven ability to develop sources within the university and athletic community is also a plus.


    Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Journalism, Mass Communications, Strategic Communications or related fields - or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a minimum of 2 years of media experience. Excellent writing, computer and social media skills are also required.

    45k to cover a Big 12 team? I don’t care how affordable Tulsa is, you’re better off just hiring aggregators to hawk Twitter all day
