The Nationals have a prospect named Joan Baez. He should at least be allowed to sing the national anthem once this year, wherever he plays.

Bruce Bochy is allowing himself a "what the hell" moment today in what'll likely be the last game he'll manage against the Royals. He's starting the same infield and battery that finished Game 7 in 2014.

Part of me is a bit disappointed that we won't get to see how nutty teams would get trying to sign him in free agency, but this ultimately seems like the right result, not just for him and the Angels, but for baseball as whole. He's the kind of guy you want to see spend his entire career in one uniform.

1 year shorter. 100 million more than Harper.
Boras probably working on a re-work right now, the arrogant prick.

At least he won’t be a Dodger.

If anyone in baseball deserves a contract like that, it's Trout. At nearly $36 million per season, he's still a bargain for what he produces. When Pujols and other aging duds are off the roster, maybe the Angels can build or buy a pitching staff that might allow Trout to have some postseason success.

I don't begrudge any player making every last dollar they can. Better them than the owners.

As an Angels fan, this is a great situation. Arte no doubt stepped up to the plate.

At $10M more per season than Harper, Bryce is the Lady Jane Grey of baseball royalty
