Pretty cool. Just remind her that “people who have never been in my kitchen,” is not a valid Final Jeopardy answer.

Sir, if you think for one second that my pride for my daughter is determined by the success level of a game show appearance, then....as the Jew Hunter said to Aldo The Apache, we simply aren't operating on the same level of mutual respect.....

Yeah, Alex and I need to have a chat....

You know, one of her first boyfriends was named Alex. Didn't like him. Can remember the first time I met him...."Son, I'm 6 months off a heart surgery and arthritis is setting in early, but I work for an athletics department and have access to three things....baseball bats, javelins and linebackers recruited from inner city Miami...kindly remember that in your treatment of my daughter." .....

The part where he writes $22,000 big ones!” and Alex reads it deadpan always gets me.

I do well — like, really well — at Jeopardy! watching at home, mythology, Shakespeare and presidents excepted. I'd be a deer in the headlights in the real thing.

But, congrats. You have a right to be proud. I'll make sure to watch today.

Alex was from Miami. I added that for emphasis.

Plus, he says STARTING on Tuesday. So there’s more than one day? Congrats, Dan.
