“The portrait of Singer that emerges is of a troubled man who surrounded himself with vulnerable teenage boys, many of them estranged from their families.”

    Reminds me of Sandusky.

Wounded kids, lonely kids are the most susceptible to this kind of grooming.

Well, of course because women are all devious liars.

Not everyone is convinced that men have altered their behavior all that much in the #MeToo era. Stephanie Ruhle, a banker-turned-television anchor, pointed out in a Davos panel titled the Future of Masculinity that men on Wall Street had never really gone out of their way to promote women before #MeToo, either.

“Could this be an excuse?” she said.

I'm never sure why the men in these stories lean so heavily on the idea of not being able to "go to dinner" with an opposite sex colleague.

Have your meetings at work. Leave your office door open.

As someone who teaches, it's pretty easy to mentor one-on-one if you stick to some simple, common sense rules.

I understand the sentiment behind this response, but I think it’s an easy cop out for a lot of managers.

Matt Levine had a good passage on it in December: Insider Trading in the Potato Trade

Doubt I'll be going to any more Ryan Adams concerts.

Yeah, this sucks. Already pre-ordered the new album, too.

Knew he had a lot of issues, but Jesus, what an asshole.

Seems like a sleazeball preying on vulnerable women.
