SEC isn’t about to let a chance to be No. 1 go to waste.

My bad, thought they were No. 1. Shows how insignificant that has become, with the 68-team tourney.

'Cause that's so important on Jan. 20.

Hell, they almost gagged the game away. Keep 'em at No. 3.

    Nice little ACC game on.

Duke has a couple good freshmen.

It really means nothing, but damn, for only the second time ever . . .

    No. 1

Let's hope it lasts longer than 2 games this time.

Can we put to pasture the notion of Virginia Tech as a Top-1o basketball team? Please?
May be time for Buzz to trot out old Frank Beamer as an honorary assistant coach, a gimmick he tried with no success a few years ago. Perhaps the sacred talisman The Lunchpail can be given its own seat on the bench.

I've said all along that I don't believe Tech is a top-10 team. The schedule was trash and the only really good win was against Purdue. The Penn State loss was garbage. They're a 22-25 type team that lacks depth, something that was painfully evident when Robinson and Alexander-Walker got into foul trouble. Tech is Georgia Tech-level mediocre when those two are on the bench.

Even though Michigan State had two NBA players last season, the Spartans never got any better
    Not the case thus season
They are playing as well as anyone in the nation
MSU doesn't play Michigan until twice in the last four regular season games
While I love Cassius Winston, Zavier Simpson has outplayed him head to head
