Sounds like Rondo and Paul missed each other during the summer.

Upthread you'll find my expectation about the Lakers Shitshowtime this season; opening night came much earlier than even I anticipated.

The fact that LBJ took the side of his good friend, Paul, over that of his new teammate, the infamous Mr. Rondo, sets up the season nicely.

That was seriously troubling if you're my supposed teammate. Just horrible optics. "You care more about him than a guy on your own team?, go get your own f**king rebound."

Did he take his side? I think he just grabbed the combatant closest to him. The ref was already pulling Rondo away.

It's a matter of interpretation, I suppose, and I also suppose I know exactly how Rondo interprets it.

I don't care if I'm as big and strong as LeBron James. I'm not getting in Rondo's way if he has that look in his eyes. I just let God sort'em out at that point.

I never took that as LeBron taking Paul's side. Dude was breaking up a fight.

I would bet LeBron and Rondo have a pretty good relationship. They have a hell of a lot more in common with each other than they do with anyone else on that roster.

Spitting should be a minimum 10 games. There's no excuse for that.
