And if you have a car and time, I highly recommend the Zoo’s other site - I’d have to look up the name but it was something like Wild Animal Park. It has huge open spaces to see lots of different animals in more natural, less constrained spaces.

We were recently there for a family weeding.

La Jolla was just a fantastic place to walk around and spend the day.

We stayed on Coronado Island, which was nice, but not a must see.

Had a couple of great meals in the Gaslamp district.

The Midway is an excellent museum. They did it right.

Our team hotel was in Old Town. Yeah, it was kinda touristy, but it was an excellent way to kill an evening and not go to practice.

One last bump. The wife flew out yesterday, and I'll be joining her tomorrow and for the rest of the week.

Any other last-minute suggestions or recommendations? Are the "Card Rooms" in town safe to visit? I may or may not be allowed some poker time.

    Thanks again!

Sorry but had to laugh, for San Diego I think Zoo, beaches, golf but not poker. A drive up coast to Carlsbad (home of Legoland) is beautiful.
