I'm pretty conservative, but I'm not defending the vast majority of this garbage

I don't think CNN and MSNBC go live any more. Just Faux.

So if Trump likes Mike and Mike likes LeBron ...

We have a strange culture. LeBron shouldn’t give a shit and surely doesn’t and neither should anyone else. What Trump thinks of anyone hardly matters.

Time for twitter to ban him.

POTUS, no matter who it is, should NOT be on social media.

Anyone who is complaining (constantly) about the ratios here can gladly hit the bricks to greener pastures. There's a new board just perfect for you.
Although I checked out the new board. Sportsjournalists.com should be paying rent, there are so many sj.com discussions.

Trump will then say: "When I said "Mike" I clearly meant Mike Pence. Obviously. And why would I like Jordan? The John Starks-Patrick Ewing Knicks team were clearly better. The refs were just all from Chicago and that's why they won. Everyone knows Chicago is the most corrupt city in America!"

What is this "new board" that you speak of?

There's...a lot going on in this post.

First, they haven't all left. One guy sorta/not really left and he took up a lot (too much) of the oxygen anyway. And I'm not sure how conservative most of those posts were as much as they almost relentless baits that were taken too often. (The absence may itself be one.) Give it time. Some other conservative will step into the vacuum.

Second, I'm conservative in some ways - not in others - but conservatism, as it's defined by standing behind Trump, is more like schizophrenia. There is nothing conservative about trade wars. Protectionism ain't free market - it's a socialist, union kind of idea. I'm not even necessarily against protectionism in some areas - why America chooses to underwrite the growing wealth of China, a nation with a miserable human rights record, is beyond - but Trump is not like any classic conservative you'd know.

Third, I'd agree the liberal perspective on here can, at times, be a little glib for my taste, but, overall, it's just more robust than the conservative positions. Areas where liberal discourse is weak - on immigration, where I'm not sure anyone has a good answer, but "hey, let's grow to 500 million!" sure as shit isn't it - are areas where Trump is so ham-fisted and bad that it's hard to rebut.

This is by far the most I have agreed with you on any political post. The President is supposed to have a life, a life we're paying him for.

Don picked a Trump flaw that was also an issue in the Obama administration. A lot of things Trump has done Obama wouldn't have even thought to do. Had to pick the one he kinda did, though.
