Fully half of the beginning of that article is devoted to non-life-threatening injuries to a police officer. Like, before the description of the shooting.

How fucked up are things that this sentence --
-- can be read like one of those factory signs that say "no injuries in the last xx days?" Or, even sadder, that it almost implies that, hey, three-plus months is a long time, all things considered!

Yeah, but this proves David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez aren’t winning. So, score for Fox News.

No evidence of automatic weapons being used. The gun laws are working.

Unfortunately, the only thing that will stop these school shootings is summer vacation.

At which point they'll be movie theater shootings, shopping mall shootings, beach shootings ...

    Sad but true.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a statement: "The thoughts and prayers of all Texans are with the people of Santa Fe and those affected by today's tragic shooting.

    Drink.

If you needed any more evidence that we are in an unbreakable pattern, it’s that we use the same empty phrase every damn time it happens.

It’s probabky better just to link to the 30 other threads on mass shootings here. The responses don’t change, nothing changes except gun sales, they go up.
