No, we are not going to watch Thursday night NFL. I'll make her watch Buffalo-Ball State. Kidding.

Excited but a touch nervous. Last date I had was before a cell phone, a decent income, parenthood and before I knew who I really was.

Not a true first date as we did meet for coffee on a late morning last week. This one is at my house. Making Indian food.

I promise not to act like Al Franken tonight.

    Nice! Good luck.

    Go easy on the curry.

It sounds weird, but the lasting memory of my first post-divorce date was a friend telling me, "Enjoy the low stakes!"

Wearing two condoms is actually less safe.

Good luck. It’s probably too soon. Everybody jumps back in too soon.

But the happiest couple I know met three weeks after she got divorced, so spin that wheel

Have plenty of water on hand. Or a fire extinguisher. (Good luck!)

That is HIGHLY dependent on the circumstances surrounding the divorce.

  9. Indian Food?
You're not thinking about sex tonight are you?

My Dating Life, Part 2, is always an adventure. For those of us a certain age, even moreso because as you note, so much has changed. Wait, what are these pictures she's texting me? Am I supposed to send some BACK?
The places they put tattoos these days.
Don't break a date for a shitty reason and then do a check-in on Facebook from somewhere else (oops).

Way way way too complicated for my old ass.

    Not really.

But in an Opposite George mentality, no sex could also keep her from turning crazy on me in less than a week. :)
