They planned this charity event before the three hurricanes hit, so it may seem a little tone deaf like C'ville needs money to recover from statue butthurt. But I wouldn't be surprised to see some donations go to areas hit by hurricanes.

Also, if you can't watch it live tonight, I wouldn't be surprised to see the stream available online for quite sometime afterwards. That's what happens with Farm Aid, which Dave and Tim support.

Anyway, just wanted to pass a heads up on this. Enjoy.

    Regards,
    VB

Only in Charlottesville could DMB appear above Timberlake on a marquee.

I didn't say the music would be any good. Matthews played the first song and, as usual, his voice sounded shot.

I applied for tickets, mainly for the Roots and Chris Stapleton, but didn't get them.

Tim was there with DMB, and surprisingly, Butch Taylor on keyboards. Played a few songs and then...

... Stevie Wonder joined them. Spoke for about ten minutes, spoke of love and what he wishes he could see, and then kneeled.

Then he played Imagine, Love In Need Of Love Today, and then Superstition.

Great stuff. Hope it is available for replay.

    Setlist of just DMB:

My buddy did camera work for the concert and raved the most about Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes ("All kinds of talented. She didn't know the words to Ball of Confusion in rehearsal, then just killed it live.") and Ariana Grande ("Super hot, great voice.")

I've seen the Alabama Shakes before and hell yes. Quite a voice.
