Going to Disney World in 2 weeks. Doing Magic Kingdom on that Saturday and EPCOT (during the food and wine festival) that Monday. Got the fast passes lined up and dinner reservations for those 2 days.

Have ZERO plans for that Sunday and do not want to do Animal Kingdom (have no use or patience for Avatar/Pandora) or Hollywood Studios (not worth the price for the construction and closings).

Would rather NOT do a park that Sunday, so, what to do? Hang out at the resort pool and Disney Springs? Drive to Universal CityWalk?

You're in luck. This is a great spot to kill an afternoon in Orlando, although, I suppose you could go to the outlet stores.

I was reading an article about a hearing on legalizing casino gambling in Florida. Disney has opposed any expansion of gambling because they are worried that it would detract from the family, friendly image of a vacation in Florida. At the hearing a Disney lobbyist was making this argument. He was asked why all the topless bars in Florida had not seemed to hurt the family image of Florida tourism.

Disney should give in and add a stripper bar to the boardwalk. The workers could dress as classic Disney characters -- Snow White, Belle, Rapunzel, Pocahantas, Ariel, Mulan, Mary Poppins, etc.

I'm on the Eurostar, about to head under the English Channel in a few minutes. I don't know who invented this technology, but they're absolute freakin' geniuses. We're zipping along at, I don't know, damn fast, and it's so quiet, in comparison it makes a can opener sound like a jet engine.

Another example of America still in the dark ages.

My wife and I will continue our MLB RV tour this summer to promote the Home Run On Wheels book and keep our foster care mission going.
We're starting this year in Cleveland around the All-Star Game and then have events lined up with foster care organizations in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Working on St. Louis too. Would love some restaurant recommendations in those cities - as well as Atlanta. Our trip will end in Chicago with the conclusion of the MLB season.
If you're not aware of our trip last year, we traveled in our RV to all 30 MLB stadiums in a single season and had a mission to raise awareness of the needs of children in the foster system. We were able to get foster families out to MLB games in Miami, Detroit, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver and St. Louis - as well as minor league games in Greensboro and Durham (the organization we partnered with is in North Carolina.)
