The Arya opening scene was the best of the episode.

But mostly it was just a, "Here's what every one is up to since you last saw them," season-opener. I did enjoy the Samwell repetition shot.

That "I'll bring you something precious" sounded ominous for Tyrion. Hope I'm wrong...

... or maybe he'll snatch a Sand Snake so she can avenge her daughter?

So Arya learned how to do old-man impressions during the break?

Sure was a lot of talk last night about how great the Wall is, and how as long as it stands people are mostly safe from the White Walkers ....

The vision the Hound had in the fire made reference to them going around The Wall by boat.

    ... seven seasons later ...

"Hey guys, why don't we just go AROUND that big wall?"

    "... shit."

I think she learned that during the 3 seasons that felt like 15 she spent in Bravos

The fact that the white walkers have giants was the biggest reveal to me; the opening scene seemed so obvious to me because we know Frey was dead. The scenes between Jon/Sansa and Cersi/Jaime were nice. Loved "what dynasty, our kids are dead!" "Then a dynasty for us!"

Ok, so that was my question at the start of this episode. Perhaps I glossed over her stint in Bravos, but I don't remember any hint that the assassins could change their voices with pinpoint accuracy in addition to stealing faces. Is this something I missed? Was there evidence of this ability anywhere else?

And yes, I acknowledge I may be expecting too much reality from a show in which dragons and snow zombies are a given.

Why doesn't Jaime correct her about Tyrion killing Joffrey.

    Arya is a beast
