Walt Weiss leaving Rockies ... or should we start a Hot Stove thread?

Isn't Hot Stove after the World Series?

Let's not mess with board tradition, then, unless the mods rule otherwise.

Also getting pink slips today: Chip Hale (expected) and Dave Stewart (semi-shock) with Arizona, and Barry Bonds with Miami.

Stewart and the DBacks thought they would contend and possibly make playoffs this season after signing Greinke and trading for Miller.

Since I see the Dbacks for what 16(?) times a year, I'm constantly befuddled by their performance level; Goldschmidt is a stud; Greinke is likewise; they also got miller to go with Corbin. Injuries were brutal though, no Pollack, no Peralta, no Corbin for most of year, and that bullpen stunk.

It looked like Bonds was doing well in Miami and enjoying it; guess he still rubbed people the wrong way.

Greinke was terrible. Could end up on the short list of worst signings ever.

From what I'm seeing on teh Twitterez, he had a great rapport with the players, not so much with Mattingly.
