A transgender pioneer. Actress most notable for (other than her famous siblings) her role as a Boy George-like musician in The Wedding Singer:

    Point, Creosote.

Looks like he's an actor too. Guessing that has to be a bit awkward for him.

Alexis was an acquaintance of mine back in my tabloid days; s/he was known as the normal Arquette, and was a genuinely nice person as the outpouring of Twitter love shows.

The news story is strange. It seems like a clear suicide. But then it indicates family was there.

I get a definite euthanasia vibe.

An early AV Club story had comments from Richmond indicating Alexis had become their brother again before death.

There were a bunch of celebrities in the early '90s who died of complications from AIDS (Arthur Ashe, Mr. Brady, Pedro from The Real World, Isaac Asimov, Freddie Mercury and Anthony Perkins to name a few), but I can't think of any off the top of my head since Eazy-E and that was in like 1995.
