If you can't trust the ethics of "Skippy And Goatface’s Morning Sports Holocaust" what can you trust?

 

Fake callers who become integral parts of yuck-yuck sports radio!?! Who'd a thunk it?

(I mean, aside from just about everybody who's listened to those shows.)

... and he fully expects folks to play the race card now? How dare they have a problem with our racist minstrel show!

 

In reading that story I couldn't figure out which was worse:

1. The stupid story about a stupid talk radio show.
2. The racist dude who calls up the stupid talk radio show.
3. The stupid talk radio show itself that would "entertain" people with calls like that.
4. The fact that not once did the story seem to concern itself that the whole thing was so obviously racist. Just that someone had been faking the calls.

 

5. Naming itself after the Holocaust.

When I left journalism, I decided to avoid sports talk radio. One of the best decisions I ever made. I felt like I gained 10 points on my IQ, and I definitely enjoyed sports more by not listening.

Now the only times I hear any of the garbage-spewing is when the radio is still tuned to where it was for the game I was listening the last time I was in the car.

 

Jim Rome's writers are shocked to learn they are not the only ones who allegedly create fake submissions for entertainment purposes.

 

They seriously named their show the "Sports Holocaust?" WTF?

 

No, that is what Deadspin collectively calls a type of sports talk show.
