Looks like I'll be there in mid-October on a Monday through Friday for work. I'm sure some of you have probably worked and/or lived there. Be my guide.

    Thanks in advance!

Take a drive into Santa Fe if you can. Great art scene.

I spent my time in ABQ finding trouble.

I'll buy you a beer here at one of the two dozen or so craft breweries that populate the town.

Be sure to drop by this place to get a feel for the first nations who settled the Southwest:

This is ground-zero for art in Santa Fe these days -- it's quickly received a world-wide following, including coverage by all the trendy arts outlets.

You live there now? Damn good chance I let you buy me a beer or eight. Also, I've never been to an Indian Casino. Explain what I'm in for and the differences between those and run of the mill casinos, please. I plan on visiting one, if not two or three, while I'm in town.

I'll have plenty of time to drive around the city and explore, so the Breaking Bad stuff will definitely happen.

Went there for three days about 12 years ago. Remember having very good breakfasts and lunches in places that identified as pharmacies.

Sandia is a quality casino, with Santa Ana Star and Isleta falling in the gives-you-lung-cancer category. I'm not a casino goer, but from what I understand the Indian casinos don't have the same controls that, say, a Vegas casino does...so it's harder to win on average there.

If you have time, try to go to Acoma Sky City or better yet, Chaco Canyon (the latter, tho, is pretty much an all-day affair). Both are fascinating, with Acoma holding the distinction of being the oldest continuously inhabited place in the hemisphere.
