    Well that was certainly a quick change to the news cycle. I figured that the French runaway truck story would last at least through Saturday

    Shit. Shit, shit, shit.

    Was completely zonked and realized my phone was ringing. Phone tree. I truly thought it was just a drill. I'd left my phone in the other room. 13 messages looking for me, plus I had to make the rest of the calls for the people I'm supposed to check on.

    So far, everyone I know is OK, but I'm completely clueless as to what is happening. I'm still half asleep.

    U.S. networks whiffing on coverage, except for FOX News' split screen with Sky News.

    Also can't get Al Jazeera or RT's streams to load. Deutsche Welle is working, for now.
