Just saw the CNN report. I pulled myself out of bed to read the news after getting a message from security to check in. I'm fine.

Explosions and gunfire; injuries (not to me) but nothing else known at this time. I'm going back to bed.

Ramadan ends on Tuesday or so. Would not be surprised if this starts a lively week of action in Istanbul.

I'm leaving town, but not until Monday.

Turkey can call its new friend Israel for backup.

(Glad you're fine, KJIM. Sweet dreams.)

YF wants to know their sexual orientation and if they smoke weed.

How many months before we can decipher a motive?

sj's liberals must have been so busy today wringing their hands about Republicans' lack of compassion for brown people that they were unable to posts their concerns after dozens of people were killed in a non-white country. I'm sure they'll be around tomorrow to express their frustrations at the senseless violence.

I'd rather have radio silence than stupid jokes.

BBC has 36 dead. I'm headed in to the office now; hoping to find there are no Americans among them.

And finish updating the phone tree.

I apologize for being more profoundly affected by the massacre that took place about 100 miles from my house. And I missed the part where Sunshine actually expressed his concern/sadness. It doesn't in any way diminish what happened, but Istanbul is in the middle of a war zone. So, care to explain your point?

Nothing in this story for liberals to exploit, so they don't care.

Jesus. And keep telling me what I do/don't care about. Watching the coverage now. Have I shed a tear like I have numerous times over the Orlando attacks? No, because I didn't know anyone affected by this one.
