RIP Ron Lester

AKA Billy Bob from Varsity Blues. He had lost 300 pounds since then. Kidney and liver failure.

Were the liver and kidney problems related to the extreme obesity or somehow related to the weight loss?

Varsity Blues was a movie that should've been right in my wheelhouse at the time, but I've never seen it. Same for Rudy.

 

It's kind of interesting that not only was he in Varsity Blues, but in Not Another Teen Movie he played a character that parodied his character in Varsity Blues.

 

Till he tore his act no one was faster coast to coast

 

Coach Kilmer has outlived Lance Harbor and Billy Bob.
