Horrible. Can't imagine the shock and grief fir this family. And the lawsuit potential on this one is sky high, with no warnings signs on gators. Disney usually has a team of lawyers descending on accident victims or their families in times like this, with reams of release forms and fast talk. That family owns the Grand Floridian right now if they want it.

There were definitely "No swimming" signs, though, right?

If the family has indeed lost their child I'm sure it will be comforting for them to know that they stand a chance of owning the Grand Floridian.

The beach at Grand Floridian is a good place to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks. They also show movies on the beach.

Hungry gators will wait in shallow water, spring out and drag in dogs and other critters near the water's edge. Not the greatest place for a toddler after dark.

A 2 year old by the water without parental supervision. What could go wrong.
