Really pumped for Copa America which starts this coming week. USA opens Friday against Columbia.
Finals will be June 26th at Met Life. First time it's ever been held in The USA. Already a lot
of buzz in the NYC area for the game. It would be amazing but doubtful that we will see
the USA team make it to East Rutherford.

With Klinsmann as the coach, I've become far more apathetic about the USA's performances and chances. I have zero faith that he'll use the players in their optimal positions.

The tournament is rather interesting. I'll definitely be watching it all...

Good chance US plays Brazil at MetLife, that would still be pretty big.

Team USA should beat the hell out of Columbia.

I don't follow this closely, but is there any reason it's in the US this year?

The tournament needs North American teams to fill out the field. With the US being one of those teams it makes sense considering the immigrants and large market it has. Or just money.

Also, I wonder whether there is a country in South America that could host. Brazil is out. Venezuela is all fucked up. Argentina isn't doing well.

It is the 100th anniversary of the event that has always been hosted by a South American country. They wanted to do something special to mark the event so they decided to play in
    the USA.

    Hasn't Mexico hosted before?

No. Used to be only South Americans teams in it.
