Special snowflakes don't like "war criminal" Madeline Albright

This was posted on a different thread, but it might deserve it's own thread. Twenty-eight Scripps College professors "vowed to not share the stage" when Albright delivers a commencement address Saturday. Seems the lesson to be learned is cry if someone you don't like has chance to speak.

War criminal or role model? Madeline Albright as Scripps College commencement speaker hits a nerve

Among those joining the discussion on the Scripps campus is Nicole Zwiener, a senior majoring in media studies who said she had hoped to hear from someone like Rupi Kaur, a feminist writer and photographer, or Emily Schuman, a Scripps alumna who launched the popular lifestyle blog Cupcakes and Cashmere.

Really, though, how can Albright's resume compare to being a food blog industry leader?

Wait, aren't there all these cupcake wars out there? Someone should think of all that suffering ...

This really doesn't deserve its own thread. No need to pay any attention to these jackholes.

OK, so they don't share the stage with her. So what?

The problem is some faculty members think they will be missed if they aren't present.

If you work for a relatively large company or attend a major university, they're going to occasionally make deals/partnerships/invite speakers that piss you off. The only way to avoid these "moral conundrums" is to not work for big company or attend a university. Work from home and get your degree from the University of Phoenix.

I've known professors who would throw themselves into traffic if it meant getting to skip commencement.
