The ACC lacrosse championship was literally trotted across the street today after a 3-hour rain delay flooded Kennesaw State's stadium and lightning caused the scorecard to malfunction.

They took it from the 8,300- seat stadium to a turf practice field used for KSU intramurals, with only a handful of metal bleachers.

Guess KSU will soon be writing additional donation letters for me to ignore.

Kudos on the ACC for putting the tourmanent in a city hundreds of miles away from any ACC school that has a men's lacrosse team.

Yeah, but the Hotlanta metro area is flat covered up with strippers ...

Kinda makes me wonder if Georgia Tech's very successful club team might be among the next to make the jump to the NCAA. There's more Title IX flexibility than most schools because of the enrollment demographics.

I think this was more about KSU's growing reputation as a host. They have a pro lacrosse team that just started, and they hosted Duke and some other teams earlier in the season. Stadium also hosted the Women's College Cup about 5 years ago.

Plus high school lax in metro Atlanta has been growing like crazy for a decade-plus now.
