Local newspaper gets beat by 9-year-old reporter

    I read this, and had I rolled my eyes any harder, they would have fell out of my head. There are several things wrong with this story, the first of which being I don't believe a word of it.

    Also this headline: “EXCLUSIVE: MURDER ON NINTH STREET!” Sensationalizing news at that age? What a hack. Future NYDN reporter, perhaps?

    That 9-year-old won't truly be a good reporter until she reaches the age of 30.

    That's when she'll get laid off to be replaced by the up-and-coming 8-year-old ...

    I wish I could hear what the editors told the local reporter/s that got beat to the story by this 9-year-old.

    So if she write something libelous, does she get sued for her stuffed animals?
