GOP tweets nasty message about Duckworth

Don't know if this has been posted. Didn't look, but apparently the National Republican Senatorial Committee thinks Tammy Duckworth hasn't done enough for veterans. More specifically, she hasn't done enough to "stand up" for veterans.

In case you missed it, former Army CPT Tammy Duckworth was flying a Black Hawk across Iraq when an RPG hit the "chin bubble" underneath her feet and blew her fucking legs off.

Isn't it possible that Tammy Duckworth both had her legs blown off and doesn't do enough for veterans in her current position?

 

That's possible. It's also possible that the Republicans voted down eight bills benefiting veterans.

 

"Benefitting" is such a nice weasel word.

 

It is not. Her reputation is pretty solid there.

 

I understand that. I was just pushing back against the implication that she is necessarily supportive of veterans.

Her current position is confined to a wheelchair, so, I guess in this day and age of Trumpism, the GOP has every right to allude to her being half a woman in their critique of her.

 

Guys. "Not standing up" is a poor-taste, ableist shot at Duckworth, but let's be better than the anti-Christie "eight bills" slam.

 

So is the problem that they used "standing up," that it was some sort of double entendre?
