O.J. murder weapon found?

Mentioned this in the O.J. miniseries thread, but now seems like the story has some legs ...

TMZ reported earlier today that a folding buck knife was found on O.J.'s property when the house was demolished some years ago. The construction worker who found it gave it to a cop, who kept it for himself. The cop told a co-worker about it upon his retirement in January, and the LAPD has confiscated it and is testing it for DNA.

The LAPD has now confirmed the story:

LAPD confirms bizarre story about knife found on O.J. Simpson’s former property

O.J. obviously can't be prosecuted again, but if this is the knife, it would seem to close one of the final loopholes in the case.

If the prevailing theory is that Jason Simpson did it, this won't change their minds in the least.

Why should it? It could just prove that theory.

Perhaps I'm overly cynical, but here we have a big new TV show based on the case and suddenly out of nowhere vital evidence on a 22 year old case pops up. A case that took place in the publicity stunt capital of the universe.

    Isn't this obstruction of justice?

That would describe the jury verdict.
