What did everyone do for the big holiday?

We didn't do shit. We drank a couple beers and watched the Blackhawks game at home on Saturday. On Sunday, we organized our Christmas closet.

We have pretty heavy snow and bad roads on Sunday afternoon/evening.

So, if you were so inclined, you could save face by announcing you had a reservation at a pricey restaurant but it's too dangerous to go.

Or, you could snag a reservation at a nice restaurant as lots of people canceled.

We went to a movie and cooked dinner together, and I made chocolate cake and chocolate mousse.

I took my valentine for a 5 1/2 mile walk in the miserable cold, took a nap and worked.

Even when I had a human valentine, the day never meant much to me. Feb. 14 is the anniversary of my father's funeral and that tended to stand out over and hearts, cards and flowers. That never really registered with the valentine until one of her parents died and then she was like, damn, I get it now.

Wife and I went to see Deadpool, then ate dinner at the Chinese buffet.
    Good times.

Some minor league hockey, followed by drinks and dinner.

It was all great until two people my wife and I were seated next to acted like they were about to start humping on the table at any moment. We were seated not two feet from them and they were gushing over each other like two middle school kids in heat. It was really awkward.

Wife had a bunch of errands to do yesterday, so we decided to. go out to lunch today. Figured the restaurants wouldn't be as crowded.

Did the bills, cleaned the house, watched a Vikings marathon.
    Then made love.

We are both sick. We cooked, watched a hockey game and went to bed early.

Friends called to invite Mrs. Fly and me to lunch. Hung out with them for a while, had a blast.

Later that evening, we went out for pho.

    Not a bad winter Sunday.
