Arabian would have to make it, too.

How is Death Valley not in this discussion?

Most of the statistics have been juiced by global warming.

Mint chocolate chip ice cream is a HOF-worthy desert.

The Sahara is all hype. If it weren't for Lawrence of Arabia we might not even know where it is.

Now the Atacama. THAT'S a desert. Very underrated. If it was on a better continent instead of stuck on South America, it would be a first-ballot choice. The Atacama's BDM (Bedouins Per Mile) rate is low, and its VORW (Value Over Replacement Wasteland) is off the charts.

Is Lawrence of Arabia the Sahara? Is that Arabian penninsula?
    What about Gobi?
    I'm going Sahara 1 and Gobi 2.

    Isn't Sahara a porn star?

Mojave Desert is where Death Valley is located, which is why it isn't in the discussion. It's like saying Derek Jeter's seventh-inning hookup should be in the hall of fame because she's connected to Derek Jeter.

No desert should be a first-ballot Hall of Famer if Antarctica wasn't.

  11. Now you're just being ridiculous.
DV is a national park. It may be part of the Mojave, but it is stands on its own. The idea we are lumping in DV with the Mojave is akin to putting Phil Collins in the RnR Hall of Fame based solely on his work with Genesis!

Great call on the Atacama. It hasn't rained in sections there in over 500 years. Total First-Ballot Lock.

Yes, yes DV is an HOFer of national parks, but it needs to whole Mojave to get in the desert HOF. I mean you have Joshua Tree, the Grand Canyon, the California Aqueduct and other awesome things that I am totally remembering off the top of my head and not looking on Wikipedia for. You can't put Lars Ulrich in the RnR Hall of Fame by himself. Yes he's a f***ing awesome drummer, but he needs Metallica, man. Death Valley needs the Mojave man!
