    It is interesting to check out the bios of many of those who wind up on NFL staffs. If you took the "average" route to an NFL staff you would graduate from a DII or FCS school in the Midwest, bounce around and latch on to someone's coattails and hope to land a position job within 8 years. There are a lot of people on staffs whose greatest attribute is a willingness to work their tail off for meager wages and the right to wear team gear and stand on the sidelines on gamedays.

    Those Quality Control guys literally make like $24,000 and some less. It is the ultimate "in the door" job

    And work their ass off, too. 100-hour weeks during the season are common.

    There's been some upward mobility with special teams coaches, though. One of them lost four Super Bowls.

    Buffalo and Rex Ryan being trendsetters certainly sounds off. She's worked with him for 8 years... I'd assumed the hire was made by the GM or the owner.
