This will be a cool thread for eye-popping front pages during the season.

Ted pissed off Gotham last night.

The best part was the close-up of Ted's face, smirking, after Trump gave him a rather solid smackdown that got even them South Cackalackians to applause.

Since Ted hates New York values so much, I'm sure he'll be quite happy to return that nice donation from Goldman Sachs.

Cover of the year? There's 350 days left. The Yankees haven't even started their season.

That said, it was some nice work on a very tight turnaround, specifically the Photoshopping. I don't know when in that debate Ted made his comments, but even if it was early that didn't give them too much time to rip up whatever they'd planned for previously.

Cruz has been using the "New York values" as one of his catchphrases for the last couple of days, so the paper may have had some time to prepare it.

Or, like you said, they just ripped up their previous front.

It was almost 2 hours into it.

Not to get political in a Newspapers Get Political thread, but neither Cruz nor any of the other GOP candidates give two shits about New York City. In fact, bashing it will only help him get Republican votes.

NYC (and the Left Coast, for that matter) aren't part of The Real America!

Except for Orange County, but only when they need money.

Yeah, I haven't been paying too much attention to the GOP race lately, honestly, so didn't know about that theme of his until today.

Still, nice job on the execution.
