    "The column was eventually pulled from the newspaper's website after John Dawe, president of Dawe Consulting and a local activist, filed a Change.org petition, demanding an apology from the writer, editor and publisher."

    That dumbass's apology is the most nonsensical thing about this.

    You weren't posing as a veteran, but reluctantly posed as one after a drunk stranger insisted you were one and harassed you into allowing him to buy you a drink?

    On top of all this, this is about the last metro area in America where you want to put that out there.

    (The Citizens' Voice, which has co-existed bitterly in the same town as the Times Leader since splintering off as a union startup in the '80s, had to be licking its collective lips while writing the story below.)
