A former Menomonee Falls teacher charged Tuesday with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student told investigators she knew that the boy was underage, but that the relationship was mutual and that the two had "very strong feelings for each other."

April M. Novak, 30, of Sussex faces 12 felony counts of sexual assault of a student by school staff. If convicted, she could face up to six years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 on each count.

On another tangent, this case really shows how little authorities understand these cases. In the rush to label her a sexual predator, "Court Commissioner Laura Lau ordered her to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18, including her own children."

Does the Court Commissioner honestly fear she's going to start raping her children now?

Its surprising we don't see this more often. I've clicked on these type of threads threads occasionally, and I practically never read that.
