Getting the "big break"

    I think this is a cool piece, listening to Adam Schefter talking about his excitement for traveling cross-country for a 23k gig, and how that eventually parlayed into a TV gig. Good to hear for young journalists who are struggling to find the dream job.

    That 23K is 41.8k in today's dollars. I'd move for that.

    But I'd bet they're not paying that anymore.

    The 41.8K initially looked a bit high to me, so I checked it with CPI stats and found that 23K in 1990 was equal to 39.4 in 2010. So, dang, that is like about 41.8K today!
