I'm surprised there's a line on Okla.-Okla. St. given Mayfield's injury.

 

Is Russell's injury that big a deal or is this a Vegas whoops-a-daisy that we can potentially take advantage of? That hook makes it awfully tempting to take ND.

 

C.J. Prosise is hurt too. He's got a high ankle sprain, which is not typically the type of thing that heals in one week.

 

My guess is the line is based on all those red zone turnovers against horrible BC.

 

Yeah, but Adams has proven to be more than capable of picking up the slack.

 

In related news, it's only because of the Showtime show that I know any of this shit. I hope Showtime does this again next year. Can't get enough of it.

 

Means it's .5 / pick 'em on a neutral field? Guess I don't see what's so outrageous about that. Especially considering ND has lost, their last 3 trip to Palo Alto.

 

Yeah, I don't care about trends like that, and I don't think anyone else really should, either.

I agree with Reacher - Adams is fine as a replacement for Prosise. Maybe it's a little bit of the Russell thing, but I think it's what Gee said - an overreaction to the Boston College game. Again, it was 19-3 Notre Dame in the fourth quarter, and I think it's safe to say that Notre Dame got a little sloppy as its thoughts turned to Stanford.

 

It's fine that YOU don't care about. However, you expressed (or feigned) surprise. It's exactly the kind of trend, along with home field advantage, the gamblers and line makers do care about. Whether you really think they should, or not.

 

Take Miami.

Pitt's improved and I'm pleased, but so is Miami.
