    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Social Media Manager drives fan engagement/interaction on OWS social media platforms through the distribution of sports-related and/or original digital content.

    PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES

    · Drive brand strength and increase fan engagement through social media platforms

    · Ability to create engaging web/digital content in a real time environment that can stimulate user interaction, discussion and engagement.

    · Build and monitor presence across social networks and identify any emerging platforms.

    · Continually evaluate social media landscape and decide where organization should have a presence.

    · Collaborate with Marketing to ensure a cohesive brand identity via social media.

    · Create and maintain weekly social media activity schedule.

    · Create weekly/monthly growth and engagement reports.

    · Manage relationships with third-party vendors for usage of social media monitoring and engagement tools

    · Monitor trends in social media as well as social media tools, applications and strategy.

    · Monitor user-generated content surrounding the OWS organization and brand.

    · Establish and monitor benchmarks for social media interaction and effectiveness.


    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    · Bachelor’s degree in business administration, journalism, marketing or communication.

    · 2+ years of professional work experience working in a social media role.

    · Proven experience launching, growing and maintaining a social media presence for a sports or entertainment brand is preferred

    · Exposure to researching, analyzing, and drawing actionable insights from collected macro and micro data regarding fans and viewers.

    · Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, G+, YouTube, Instagram, Vine, Pinterest, etc.) and how each can be used in different scenarios.

    · Passion for global sports and institutional knowledge of international soccer, basketball, baseball and hockey

    · Exceptional writing, editing, and grammar skills

    · Excellent computer skills and functional knowledge of HTML/CSS and the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

    · Strong communication, prioritization and organizational skills.

    · Ability to work long, irregular hours and be on-call as needed.

    Hopefully the person who gets this job knows how to manage social media, since the Facebook page is lackluster, to say the least. How many people care about the Cosmos?
