It could be sunspots, too. Or it could be CBS' fall programming.

Dick, I just get the CBS site from that link. I guess I could use the Googles, but given that it's Brady Quinn as the source, I say meh.

It is funny. CBS, thou suckest.

I did skim the article, though.

When Forte got hurt, I started thinking about how Walter Payton missed only one game. Would he have been knocked upward by the single defender the way Forte was?

The flexibility thing also is valid. Bell, oop's favorite player, got his knee bent. Would more flexibility have prevented an MCL tear? (I think there was a discussion about knee flexibility a few months ago, but it was derailed quickly by some with strong beliefs but not-so-strong reading skills.)

I'd bet that number is on the low side. And Quinn is right that a 4-game suspension is worth the risk for the paydays that are involved. Hell, most players probably consider it a cost of doing business.

Between pain management and PEDs, I'd wager the number of NFL players not taking something can be counted on one hand.

Even if you don't count legally prescribed pain meds, there aren't 40 to 5o players who ARE NOT on something.

And that figure probably also represents the number of fans who give a shit.

Football is not baseball. It's a rough sport.
