    Description:
The Sterling Journal-Advocate, in Sterling, Colorado, is seeking a full time sports reporter to cover high school and junior college sports in Logan County as well as active city and summer recreation programs. The newspaper prints six days a week and maintains a website and social media presence.

The primary responsibility will be writing articles for the daily print edition and website, but the position also includes photography and some video and page design.

15K, based on 40-hr work week, is $7.21 an hour. Colorado minimum wage is $8.23.

This was a "featured job" in the right gutter on JJ.com?

The sad part is we all know if you are doing a good job it's closer to 50 hours than 40. So, more like $6 an hour

And you're nowhere near Denver or the mountains -- this is in the middle of the northeast Plains. It's more of a Nebraska job than Colorado.

It's going to be a lot more difficult to forage for food on the plains of eastern Colorado than it would be in the more temperate lush forested regions.

I applied. They said I could run free classified ads for handjobs to supplement my income.
