Colorful Cardinals ace Andujar dies : Sports

    62 years old.

"There is one word in America that says it all, and that one word is, 'You never know.'"

And I can't find a good video clip of it, but his ejection in Game 7 of the 1985 World Series is one of my favorite highlights ever.

Ahh, "Walking Underwear," as we liked to call him.

Had some classic flare-ups, but Game 7 of the 1985 World Series was the one he most will be known for.

    One profane Dominican ...

Apparently he was still in pretty good shape and someone you didn't fuck with on the island.

How do you write that obit and not mention the ejection?

St. Louis is as much at peace with the 1985 World Series as the U.S. is with the 1972 Olympic basketball tournament. It's best not discussed.

    Three things come to mind.

Pitching Game 7 of the 1982 World Series.
The ejection from Game 7 of the 1985 World Series.
Mountains of coke like Tony Montana.

    Just read the article.

Floored there is no mention of the ejection. That's the first thing you think of.

This would be the equivalent of the obits for Robin Ventura not mentioning Nolan Ryan. The one most known moment for a good but not great MLB player.

    Enjoy the video

Good grief, it took three guys to restrain him.

    Great tape.

Brings back fond memories of too many Long Island Ice Teas at T-Bakers in CoMo, watching this game.

T-Bakers, where a Mizzou ID was all you needed, much like The Blue Note on the Business Loop.

Yep, you'd usually find me in one or the other.
