No, you're not overreacting. At all.

    Pretty shameful.

Whoever gave the ok for that front page should be burned at the stake. Absolutely awful.

What did the NYP cover do today?

Don't care for that one either. Thanks Della. Not as bad as the NYDN one, but still, ugh.

There are people who do not want to see the videos. The NYDN posting a three image sequence with a gun flash in the second image and reaction in the third was despicable. Headline awful too.

The photo of the NYDN cover on the shootings thread probably should be changed to a link.

I did not want to watch the video then I saw that cover on the other thread. Hell, it's like the gunman paid for a front-page ad.

    I'm conflicted about it.

It's what happened. We have to face this reality.

On the other hand, people will lash out at the Daily News and Post-- in an effort to blame someone.

And misplaced blame only deters real progress.

Pretty sure real progress can be achieved without this cover.

I'm not too optimistic it can be achieved-- with or without the cover.

I'd love for you to explain how.

I do agree that perhaps this cover can add to the outrage and help turn the tide in all this gun craziness.

I don't think that remotely factored into their editorial decision, however.
