    I'm in Vegas from 30 August-10 September.

    Anybody down?

It would be great to have a Vegas outing. Just when it's cooler!

    Anyone ever stayed at Excalibur?

I'm trying to get under Uncle Sam's $96/night reimbursement.

Yes. It was decent, nothing special in the rooms (is there ever at the Vegas biggies?). Cool place to be, though.

Hopefully that EPA fuck-up in Colorado doesn't ruin Lake Powell forever, or you'll be hunting bottled water!

Excalibur isn't luxury, but it's more than acceptable, is conveniently located, big sports book, and has three nice pools. It's older but you should be fine.

Perfect. That's all I need to know.

Three Bags -- I'd look at the Monte Carlo. Great location on the southern part of the Strip, generally the same price as the Excalibur, but I think it's much, much nicer.

We took PC's advice last trip we made to Vegas, I will vouch for that place. It was great.

I haven't stayed at either the Excalibur or Monte Carlo (although I've walked through MC), but I think the latter has a better location if you're planning to wander around on the Strip at all.
