The South Florida Sun Sentinel is seeking an aggressive and energetic reporter to join its high school sports beat.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, the Sun Sentinel covers more than 130 schools across a two-county area that is rich with athletic talent.

We want a candidate who has proven he or she can break news and cover games on deadline – but also a reporter who can write features and enterprise stories that will engage a broad readership.

Must be social-media savvy, comfortable being on both sides of a video camera and have the sense of urgency needed to fit into a digital-first operation.

Bachelor’s degree and experience at a daily newspaper or major website required. Recent graduates with internships at major newspapers or websites will be considered.

Interested candidates should email a resume, five clips and contact information for three professional references to sports editor David Selig at dselig@sunsentinel.com.
