Title IX requires a seperate but equal thread.

The NFL has a month devoted to Breast Cancer Awareness and lots of pink clothing and other splendid ways of helping fight breast cancer.

Should the WNBA reciprocate in some fashion? Perhap they should wear Blue, to raise awareness of Blue Balls? A tragic malady suffered by many men

I'm just glad to see the Tulsa Shock is winning.

    "... Tulsa Shock are winning."

The word is singular, but the team is plural. It's no different than the Grizzlies, or the Yankees. #petpeeve

If they want to be plural, they should call themselves the Shocks.

It's still a team and should be written as plural.

Read it as singular and it sounds goofy.

The Oklahoma City Thunder writers are horrible about this.

Although the other day, I actually saw a story that said, "The Kansas City Royal's ...".

"The Stanford Cardinal are seeking their sixth consecutive victory Saturday when they play UCLA."

It sounds goofier to say, "The Heat are..." than "The Heat is..."
