    How does Whitlock get fired from his ESPN/Vanity project and yet show up on PTI for weeks?
    The dearth of newspaper columnists has killed ESPN's ability to find credible commentators and opinion holders for their stable of talking heads.

    Actually, I cable cut and only see ESPN if I deliberately work at it. It's more a conditioned response to a couple of seasons of the WWL doing the "will he or won't he return" bulletins every ten minutes. Favre isn't coming back, but that story struck me funny.
