Nurses get it on in front of elderly patient

Two former registered nurses accused of engaging in sex acts together when they were being paid to care for a 98-year-old woman in her home were sentenced Tuesday to jail and placed on probation for five years.
Russel Torralba and Alfredo Ruiz, both 43, each pleaded guilty to one count of inflicting mental suffering on an elder. They each received the maximum term available under their respective plea agreements.

I wonder if the family would have felt the same if the nurses were of the opposite sex

 

The sexuality of the defendants is immaterial. Either way, it's sexual assault.

 

They were having sex with each other, not the patient. It appears it was consensual. She was forced to watch.

 

Is that not some sort of assault?

Indeed it was. That doesn't render MTM's question immaterial. We can be all PC, but the sexuality of the defendants still affects the way one looks at it.
